Cantos del Pueblo spielt auf den Instrumenten der Andenvölker. Ihre Inspiration erhält die Gruppe durch die Stimmen und Geräusche der Umwelt und die Mythen der Inkazeit. Um die Klänge der Natur darzustellen, benutzt sie viele hier unbekannte und seltsam anmutende Instrumente.

We Yeoman and Jaunty Prado, with other students from university of San Marcos in Lima - Perú, in 1987 formed the Cantos del Pueblo group. Our name freely translated, means Songs of the People. We play both, traditional songs and our own compositions, using the original instruments of the Andes. Let us take you on journey through the world of the Andes and you will know the emotions of our people and our culture. Our melodies span the whole range of that world, from the peaceful and serene to the bright, happy and joyful songs of those people.
